Vince Pope
Vince Pope began his career in music early. At age 11, he was spotted playing the piano by BBC producer Ernest Maxin and was chosen to perform several times on the Les Dawson show. As a Jazz virtuoso on the show he performed for, among others, The Three Degrees and Liza Minnelli. After completing a Maths Degree at London University Vince returned to his first love, music. He undertook a European tour with Midge Ure and later formed his own band which signed to EMI publishing and Food Records. In 1999 he co-founded Beetroot Music and began writing music for TV commercials, winning several industry awards. More recently he has turned his attention to Television Drama, writing music for the award winning "Wallander" Series. In 2011 his work for the critically acclaimed "Misfits" has earned him a Bafta nomination for best original score. Read more on Last.fm.
